AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hojat al-Islam Mohseni Ejei, speaking at a meeting with a number of officials of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and heads of provincial justice departments, while explaining the legal arguments regarding the condemnation of the aggressor regimes of the United States and Israel from the perspective of international law, stated, "The aggressor regimes of the United States and Israel, during their attack on Iran, deliberately committed numerous war crimes, from killing children and civilians to attacking prohibited sites such as hospitals, schools, universities, and residential homes."
Ejei, elaborating on provisions of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, said, "The American and Zionist aggressors, during their aggression against Iran, not only violated the Geneva Conventions and their additional protocols but also breached customary rules applicable in armed conflicts."
The Head of the Judiciary, referring to the matter of pursuing the aggressions and crimes of the United States and Israeli regimes against the Iranian nation in international bodies and forums, stated, "The Attorney General, the Deputy for International Affairs of the Judiciary, the Secretary of the Human Rights Headquarters, and the Judiciary's Bar Association, with the support and cooperation of other relevant sections in the executive and legislative branches, must exert utmost effort in reclaiming the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation in international judicial and legal bodies."
He added, "The United States and the Zionist regime not only initiated the war and aggression against the Iranian nation, infringing upon the material and moral rights of our people, but also committed all kinds of war crimes during this period. Therefore, they must be prosecuted and pursued by competent international authorities for compensation, reparation, and punishment for committing war crimes. We will not release our grip on these aggressors; we will pursue them and insist on their punishment."
He emphasized, "The right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to legally and judicially pursue all the criminal and aggressive actions of the United States and the Zionist regime in international forums, as well as to utilize human rights mechanisms, is reserved."
It is worth noting that during this meeting, a number of relevant officials presented reports on the status of legal pursuits of the crimes of the aggressor United States and Israeli regimes at the international level.
